Bonus Room Revamp

Since moving into our house I have wanted to put some fun touches in our bonus/toy room. So on the wall with all the toys I made some alphabet flash cards to hang up. They are the cutest design and colors. Your can find the download here. I think it only cost me about $12 from start to finish.

My next project was this awesome reading tent. I had tons of this peter rabbit fabric that a friend gave me so I decided to use it and then I just had to buy one flat sheet at Walmart for $5 and a hula hoop for $3. I think it looks so cute and it was really easy to make. It only took me about two hours. You can find the directions here.

My great grandfather made this adorable little table and chairs for my grandma when she was little and I was lucky enough to inherit it. So I just touched up the whit paint and used chalkboard paint on the top of the table. Then I ordered this world map on ebay for $10 and pinned it up. I love it! I feel like my room is conducive to learning, creativity, and play. Exactly what we need!!

Chalkboard Calendar

So I have had this chalk board vinyl for months and finally decided to make this awesome calendar. I found this huge frame at Goodwill for $3 that had an ugly print in it, so I took it out and glued the glass to the frame using E6000 of course ;) and painted it turquoise. Then using a paper cutter I cut the vinyl into squares and made the day and month headings. Using a ruler, I stuck everything on the glass and presto. I bought some Chalk Board Pens to write on it and they look awesome. I also put those two rectangles on the bottom to write important stuff coming up in other months. This is a great way to stay organized and I love it! I think it would also be really neat to do on an old window.

P.S. I have greatly reduced the prices on all of my jewelry plus you can get 25% off your order by entering coupon code BEMINE.

Old Dresser Renewed!

So we had this awesome antique dress with great details but needed an uplift. I lover older furniture because it is built to last. Unfortunately it is often beat up or has an outdated finish. So I redid mine and I spent quite a while sanding it, then priming it, and then painting it. Add some new handles and waa laa....awesome new dresser! I'm never getting rid of this thing now. I love it!

Stocking Holder

So I thought I would start sharing some of my Christmas crafts. This is so cute and functional. I hate those little stocking hooks that fall of the bookshelf all the time. I just took a board and painted it dark brown. Then I applied a cracking glaze and painted a top coat of red. I applied some vinyl lettering and found a few different knobs and hooks. I love this! It is my favorite Christmas decoration right now!

Fabulous Fall Wreath

I found this wreath on Just Sew Sassy and I had to make it! I think it turned out great. I used some orange and black stripe fabric instead of burlap for the rosettes. It took a while to cup the burlap squares and lots of hot glue, but it was overall a pretty east project.

(Watch for my Giveaway...coming soon!!)
